Sweeping into the classroom as if she owned the place, much like many Purebloods would, Ciar ignored the professor, where so ever she may be. Her robes swept back to reveal her uniform in all it's glory even though there was one small change to it. Beside the house crest on the red button up shirt was a smaller crest displaying the Whelan family crest. This was the same on her robes and Ciar felt proud to have had these alterations made.

She allowed her leather knapsack to slip off her shoulders and fall to the ground by the corner of the middle desk. Crouching down for a mere moment the teen withdrew her textbooks and parchment placing them on the desk, followed by a bottle of ink and two eagle feather quills. Standing gracefully she smoothed her robes before taking the seat she had claimed for herself and pulling out her wand and polishing cloth. Settling back in her seat Ciar methodically polished her wand while waiting for class to begin.

"Morning Professor," Lora greeted as she entered the class. She noticed another girl and went over to talk to her. "Hey, I'm Lora." She introduced with a smile. She got a feeling that the girl was one of those Pureblood types but no harm in trying to make friends with a another Pureblood, even if they weren't so nice.

Alexa looked up from her book and noticed the brat who whould not listen to her the other night was in her class.

'Bloody Fantastic!' Alexa thought to her self as she took a sip of her black coffee. Another Student came through the door and said good morning. That student went over to Miss Whelan.

'Good luck with her!' Alexa thought again as she laughed. She covered it with a cough though so she wasn't noticed.

She got up from her seat and put her book down on her desk. She went over to her chalk board and started to write.

    Professor Thorpe
    Forth Year Transfiguration:
    Lesson One:
Introduction on Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration

Alexa wrote as she waited for the rest of her class. Hopefully no one eles has been 'Crow Knapped'.

Ksenia walked into the classroom with a dark look on her face. She stayed up late last night studying. She finished all of the toured work well before eight o'clock, but she just couldn't put her books down because she knew if she did that her anger or even depression might take over her.

"Professor," she nodded politely to the witch before taking a seat.

Ciar glanced at the girl that had taken a seat next to her as the professor started coughing, though it soundly suspiciously like a laugh. Well time to deal with her later. "Whelan," she responded to the Lora girl. "Ciar Whelan, Hrabrost house."

Gazing back at the other girl that came in the door Ciar noticed the darkened face. Clearly this girl had some troubled times or was just really over tired. Mentally shaking her head the Irish teen put it out of her mind. It wasn't her business.

Holding her dark coloured wand up to eye level Ciar's eyes traveled past the gleaming wood to the blackboard. Gamp's Law, eh. Well that could be interesting. Deciding to rile up the professor a bit she went back to polishing her wand and commented, "So we're all here. When are we going to learn something useful?"

Alexa raised her eyebrows at Miss Whelan. She went over to her and Alexa slammed her hands on the table and leaned over the student.

"Miss Whelan, you may not listen to me outside of this classroom about your attitued. But You will not act like you own the place when I am teaching. If you act up in my classroom again, I will kick you of this subject before you can even see your completed diploma in Transfiguration. Understand Miss Whelan?" Alexa questioned her student as she leaned over the girl.

Ciar's cold grey eyes rose to the professor standing over her, not at all moved by the smacking of the desk or the intimidation tactic being used. If Ciar's father couldn't scare her anymore than there wasn't much that could. Certainly not the idle threats of a professor.

"I'm going to ask you once nicely to step back from my desk and out of my personal space, Professor, " Ciar said in an icy voice. Her hands remained steady as cloth continued to rub over wood. "As for my attitude, you have yet to see it. I have been nothing but cordial to you both in and out of this classroom. You have yet to begin this class with the small exception of writing something on the board." The teen's eyes flashed dangerously. "Now I understand you perfectly clearly, Professor Thorpe, but you have yet to teach me anything or tell me something I didn't already know. Thereby I ask again. When are we going to learn something useful?"

Alexa gleared at her student but did not move.

"Well Miss Whelan If you already know Everything about this subject, your free to leave this class." Alexa said as she straightened her self up and walked to the front of her class.

"Today class you will be learning Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration. Part of this Subject will be on Conjuration. Conjuration is the art of conjuring things. You all should note down that there are numerous restrictions both in Law and Naturethat are placed on the art of Conjuration, unlike Vanishment which appears to be unrestricted. For example, something that is conjured will not last, but it is unknown whether or not something that is vanished could forever remain in non-being if left to its own devices." ALexa said as she started to write what she said on the bored so the students could copy it down.

After she was finished, she waited for the class to finish as well.

Lora watched the exchange between Ciar and the professor silently. She had no idea how to react even though she had seen plenty of students talking back and acting rude towards teachers. And of course, teachers doing the same thing. Honestly, this school is just too messed up, she thought.

"That seemed a little too personal," she commented to the Hrabrost once the professor stepped away. She quickly copied what was written on the board and waited for the lesson to continue.

Alexa heard the girl next to Miss Whelan talk to her about what just happened.

"Keep comments to your self or say them out side of this class room Miss McCall." Alexa said as she turned around to the front of the class.

"Oh and Miss Whelan, I need a word with you after Class. Don't worry, It's not anything bad." Alexa said with a soft smile. Alexa sat in the edge of her desk and carried on with the lesson.

"Can Anyone tell me about Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration?" Alexa said to her class.

Alexa waited, But got no answers.

"Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration is a law governing the magical world. There are five Principle Exceptions to Gamp's Law; the only one explicitly stated is food - however, there are a number of possible candidates for the remaining four.
It should be noted that whilst food cannot be outright created from nothing, it can be multiplied if one already has some food to multiply (possibly by using Geminio), it can also be enlarged by using the Engorgement Charm, or the food can be summoned if one knows the rough location and is fairly sure the food will still be there." Alexa paused as she wrote everything down on the bored.

"Love - known to be impossible to simply create in the Wizarding worls, it can only be simulated through a Love Potion, Entrancing Enchantments or the Imperius Curse. Even in these cases, the best one can hope for is obsessive infatuation, which fades when the spell or potion fades."

"Life - while it is shown everywhere that new life can be created. it is also firmly known that life which has already ended is impossible to be restored which would include via conjuration. Hence, pre-existing life is impossible to conjure and therefore may be one of the exceptions to Gamp's Law. Interestingly, though, pre-existing life - like food - can also be multiplied in size, at least and summoned such as with the Resurrection Stone."

"Information - a logical assumption, or else one would assume that many things that were seen as impossible would be achievable; for example, students might conjure all necessary information before a test or Aurors might conjure information pertaining to the whereabouts of a wanted criminal or lets say the Crow.

"Precious Metals - if wizards were able to conjure precious metals and therefore money then their economy would collapse or at the very least there would be no impoverished wizarding families, however, this is clearly not the case. There is legislation about what you can conjure and what you can't and that money may therefore be one of these substances whose creation is illegal, this does not seem to be the case, which leads one to think it was never banned because it cannot be achieved. It is also reminiscent of the exception to the rule relating to food in that it only transforms other metals into gold but cannot create it, like how food can be transformed but not created. Likewise, Leprechauns may create objects that look like gold or money, but which will, in time, change back to dead leaves or dirt; it is merely an illusion or transfiguration, once again similar to the allowance of transformation but not creation. Similarly, the Geminio Curse allows one to multiply, but not conjure from nothing, the desired object." Alexa said as she wrote everything on the bored.

"Any questions before I continue?" Alexa asked her students.

Lora tried to write down the notes as quickly as possible to keep up with the Professor. She knew she wasn't paying much attention as she was busy writing and knew that she'd probably have to go through the lesson once more after class was over.

"No questions, Professor." She replied softly, when she noticed that no one else answered.

Ciar scribbled her notes dutifully, keeping her head low. It was a chatsizement of sorts to herself for losing her temper. Albight, not fully losing it but letting her emotions get the best of her yet again. To make matters worse now the professor wanted to see her after class. The last time a Professor had wanted to talk to her it had ended badly with Ciar passing out from emotional exhaustion. She just nodded her head and wrote her notes, ignoring the class.

"Money and Shelter: This is two items, but they are often inextricably linked: one can’t have a beautiful or large home without having money to pay for it. Although an interior of a room or area can be expanded, and valuable objects can be multiplied, if the intention is to suffocate a thief inside a vault at Gringotts or any other bank, they can’t be created from scratch." Alexa said as she wrote it on the borad.

"Clothing: Even wizards of great skil cannot seem to conjure up new robes and are instead stuck with old, patched ones, ones that are too short, or ones that are hopelessly out of style. If clothing were not one of the exceptions,."

"Body Part Removed by Dark Magic: In the Wizarding world, all sorts of body parts can be repaired and even conjured from scratch, But these same body parts—and the entire body, in the case of the Killing Curse—cannot be replaced or repaired if Dark Arts was involved, no matter how skilled the healer."

"Temperature: The conjuring of heat or cold or the transfiguring of something warm into something cold and vice versa. Although wizards can produce water (Aguamenti!) and can emit steam from their wands through the hot-air charm—steam that lightly melts objects like snow or dries objects like sopping-wet clothing—wizards cannot raise or lower the temperature of the air, stop rain or snow from falling, slow or speed the wind, or heat or cool large bodies of water." Alexa said as she wrote it down. After she was finished she turned around to face her students.

"This year you will be learning spells which can be very complex and hard. The results can lead to very good results, but if done wrong can lead to very nasty results." Alexa said as she sat down on the corner of her desk.

"Since this lesson is only meant to be for hour an hour today we will be casting advanced spells next lesson. The homework you are going to be doing is about what Gamp's Law is. So I hope you have been listening. Class id dismissed. Miss Whelan come with me to my offic!" She said to the girl. She watched the students go out of her room.

Miss Whelan followed Alexa out and Alexa locked the class room and went to her Office.
