Lesson Two - 4th Years Empty Lesson Two - 4th Years

Post by Guest Wed Jan 11, 2012 10:09 pm

Mitchell walked into the classroom, he paused for a moment then looked around then made his way up to the front of his desk, his first day teaching in Durmstrang he was quite excited and was still feeling quite gratified that Sacha had begged him to move from London to teach this subject

Mitchell sat down and gazed out at the grey sky, I wonder what everybody's doing back home he thought to himself. Mitchell then opened one of his folders and pulled out the class list and skimmed over it

he then placed it back down and leaned back into his chair waiting for the students to arrive

"Good day Professor," Frodo greeted the teacher quietly with a small smile and took a seat. He wondered if there were any other students that were going to show up.

Mitchell looked down at his watch and realized that it was time for the lesson to start, he was getting worried seeming that there were no students here yet

To Mitchell's relieve a student walked into the classroom and greeted the Professor, Mitchell gave him a warm smile " Ah your just on time Mr Moria, I believe we should get started"

Mitchel then walked behind his desk and pulled up this owl cage which a sandy blonde owl inside, he then took the owl out and perched itself on the desk " Now Mr Moria you will be learning the Tergeo Charm it is used to remove blood or other matters"

Mitchell then lifted up the owl's wing, reavealing large gashes with crusted blood on them " Notice these gashes on the owl's wing she was in a fight with three other owl. Leaving this dried blood harbours bacteria, and therefore encourages further infection"

Mitchell gestured for the boy to come up to the front of the class, Mitchell pulled out his wand to help demonstrate to the boy " So hold your wand firm and out like this and move it in a anti- clockwise circular motion and say Tergeo, in a clear crisp tone"

Mitchell looked at the student encouragingly " Ok give it a try"

Ksenia walked briskly to the healing classroom. She was a few minutes late. The girl sighed slightly as the expression on her face remained cold. She was researching in the library again and lost track of time for a little while. 'Good day, Professor. I apologize for my tardiness," she nodded her head slightly to the man at the front of the room, her tone was polite, but emotionless, like it usually was. The young witch selected a seat at the front of the classroom, placing her heavy load of books on the desk.

Mitchell looked over at the door as his final student arrived " I don't like tardiness Miss Sokol, you will meet me in the Infirmry after this lesson thank you"

Mitchell then watched the student take a seat and place her books down then spoke to her " Mr Moria is about to have his first attempt at the Tergo Charm, pay attention you will have your attempt next"

Mitchell then looked back at the boy " Now don't worry if you don't get it on your first try it can be abit tricky" Mitchell said to the boy reassuringly

"Yes, Professor," Ksenia said easily. as she settled her books neatly on the table. She knew nothing about this man yet apart from the fact that he was one of the best healers of Europe. She turned around in her seat to watch as Frodo performed the spell.

Frodo walked up to the front of the class, feeling nervous. He listened to the Professor's instructions clearly and then took out his wand. Making sure to hold his wand firmly without his hands shaking, he moved his wand in anti-clockwise motion and said the spell, "Tergeo."

Mitchell watched Frodo cast the spell he was quite impressed at the level of achievement he had reached " Well done Mr Moria, excellent cast, it removed a large amount of the blood. To improve I suggest you grip your wand abit tighter making the movement more rigid"

Mitchell then looked towards the Slushatel girl " Ok Miss Sokol would you like to give it a try now" Mitchell then watched the girl step foward to have her try at the spell

Ksenia nodded her head slightly to the professor as she got up to approach the owl. Healing was not one of her favourite subjects, it was something she thought it would be useful to learn. She had a feeling she would need to use those skills soon. "Tergeo," she said sharply as she moved her wand as instructed. Her hand would have moved smoothly, effortlessnessly, in normal situations, but she was on edge, dreading her next meeting with Abraxas.

Mitchell observed the Slushatel girl perform the spell, Mitchell was quite impressed most of the blood had cleared " Another excellent cast, well done Miss Sokol, though the only thing which I would say would improve it. Would be try and have your hand abit more relaxed so your movement isn't so stiff"

Mitchell then walked over towards his desk and looked at the criteria sheet then wrote down the two students grade, of course he had a few more excerises for them to perform before he could give them an overall grade for this topic. Mitchell then turned around and faced his class

" Well both of you did quite well with that task" Mitchell placed the owl back into its cage and pulled out a plate with a big piece of pork on it, he then pulled out his wand and said "Diffindo" in a crisp tone a gash appeared in the pork. Mitchel then flicked his wand at the meat, and the wound filled with dirt and mud

Mitchell then walked over to a cupboard and pulled out a medium sized box, inside had pieces of cloth a small bottle of water and bandages, Mitchell then wrapped the piece of cloth around the pork, he then reached into the box and pulled out a small bottle containing a brown liquid he then splashed it on the cloth so it would stain

Mitchell then turned to his students and smiled " Ok so lets pretend that this is someone who has been injured and they have got mud and dirt in their wound, now lets say this cloth is their shirt. What I want you to do is use the Tergo Charm on the cloth to remove the stains, then pull off the cloth, then again use the Tergo Charm to remove the dirt and mud from the wound. Once you have done that I want you to bandage the wound"

Mitchell looked at his two students making sure they understood the instructions, " So who wants to go first?" he asked
