Lesson Three (Third Years) Empty Lesson Three (Third Years)

Richard walked into his classroom, whistling a happy tune and twirling a cane he'd transfigured out of a toothpick he'd found at breakfast. He sat down in his chair, throwing his cane away and watching it revert back to a toothpick in mid-air.

Ondrea peeked cautiously around the door before entering the classroom. First to arrive, again. No chance of slipping in unnoticed and sitting at the back, then.

Come on, Drea, she told herself. It's Transfiguration. You weren't half-bad at Transfiguration at Beauxbatons.

    That was at Beaxbatons!
the less rational side of her mind exclaimed. This is-is Hogwarts! What if they're farther ahead? How will you catch up?? And just look as the teacher - he's... he's... scary!

Ondrea had to concede that her irrational self had a rather good point.

"P-p-professor," the girl greeted, sincerely hoping that the man knew she'd just transferred as opposed to having been skipping his class all year.

Karma walked into the classroom and gave the professor a long look before she sniffed the air. He smelled normal, this time. She slid into her usual seat and waved a hand at the professor, glancing at the Ravenclaw. She was stuttering. Grinning at the obvious show of weakness, Karma relaxed in her seat, waiting for the lesson to start, and still not fully trusting her teacher.

He was still feeling weird as he entered the transfiguration classroom. He had no idea what his father had done but he still couldn't decide whether or not he liked this new feeling, it felt weird yet he felt at peace with himself. Shaking his head to rid himself of all the possibilities he glanced around the room and found only two others had arrived. He gave Richard a quick nod before heading for his seat in the corner, where his mind wondered to what his father had meant the night before.

Ethan was yet humming another tune as he entered Transfiguration class. Finding a seat near the front he sat quietly for class to begin.

Richard smiled happily at the latest addition to his class and waved to her as she stutteringly greeted him. Apparently he was a scary teacher or something. Maybe it was just because she was french and he was german, might have little bit of a cultural fear of him,

"Good morning Miss Montgomery!" he greeted her brightly before looking at the rest of the students to show up so far, "Hello Miss Black! Hello Messers Salvator and Desford!"

He chuckled a little and took a sip from a flask that was charmed to give no indication what so ever about it's contents, even the smell being blocked. Swallowing the mouthful his eyes widden and he jumped up from his seat and clapped his hands,

"Right then!" he grinned, "I'm in a good mood today. And I mean a really, good mood. So... we're going to learn something fun today kiddies!"

Richard moved round to the front of his desk,

"You tell me what you want to transfigure and we'll work on that today!"

Karma wondered who the hell shot their professor with seventeen and a half cheering charms, but she was never one to look a gift hippogriff in the the mouth. Then again, if she knew anything from her life thus far, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

She watched him drink from the flask and wondered what he was drinking, took a few sniffs, smelled nothing, and was even more suspicious.

She raised her hand, her other going to the dagger at her back. You couldn't be too cautious, in her opinion.

"Can we learn how to transfigure inanimate objects into animals?"

Ondrea shakily nodded back at the professor. He seemed nice enough... She gave him a hesitant smile. "M-morning, sir," she responded quietly.

One of her classmates suggested that they learn to transfigure objects into animals and Ondrea perked up a bit. She'd been quite adept at changing animals into objects, so the reverse shouldn't be all that much more difficult. She hoped that would be what they got to learn. It sounded, well, fun.

(OOC: Despite having attended Beauxbatons, Ondrea is from Britain.)

Richard scratched his chin in mock thought for a moment before grinning widely at Karma, ruffling her hair as he walked past her,

"Sounds good Karmy!" he teased her lightly, "What animals did you have in mind?"

He raised his hand. "How about chimeras? Or snakes? Or wolves?" He asked any of those would be great, they could all attack on demand. Also they were a good animal to cause a distraction, and sometimes a distraction is all thats needed to capitalise. Besides he'd had experience with all those animals.

Karma thought. For a second, wincing when Professor Romain ruffled her hair. "Nothing to do with fire..." she frowned. "How about Wolves?"

Ondrea felt a bit faint at the mention of chimeras and snakes - she really hated snakes. Wolves sounded terrifying, too, however, but perhaps she could pretend it was a dog?

    Though, some dogs...

She swallowed, staring intently at her desk. No matter. Either way, she would do her absolute best.

Providing she didn't faint, first, that is.
