Dinner (Open)

Char's face lightened up when the food appeared on her table. She quickly began picking all types of food and loaded them on her plate: Chicken, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pasties, corn, etc., until her plate looked like the miniature version of Mount Everest. After loading her plate, she did the weirdest thing- she ate the food slowly.

Char chuckled at how odd she was and smiled softly at herself. As she ate, she looked around the table to see who was in her house and who wasn't.

She didn't mind eating alone but then again, she wouldn't mind making a friend or two.

Walks over to a girl eatting by herself.

"Hi i'm Jamie Malfoy, do you mind if i sit"

Asks towards Charlotte Arielle West.

Char looked up to see another girl from her house, her mouth was stuffed with food and she felt slightly embarrassed so she just nodded. She finally chewed down her food and said:

"Charlotte," she introduced. "Charlie, Charles, Char, anything's acceptable unless I don't like it."

Takes a seat across from her and gets some food.

"You look more of a Cee to me.... For your nickname of course..... People call me Jam, Jae, or JaMalfoy really doesn't matter to me"

She decided to try the food and realized it's really good.

Alexis trudged to the Slytherin table, she was feeling so tired. She piled some mashed potato and shephard's pie into her plate. She noticed two girls talking quitely nearby.
"Hello, Charlotte, aren't you? And... I didn't catch your name."

turned to the girl that sit by her and Charlotte.

"Jamie Malfoy and you are"

She asked being polite.

'I'm Alexis, 2nd year. You are first year, right?' She took a bite off her pie, yummm! I'll have to visit the kitchen soon. She thought.

"Yes i am"

She smiled and ate some of her jello that she took earlier.

"Cee is alright I guess," Charlotte shrugged, "But I think I'll stick with Jaime for you."

"Yeah, Charlotte," she nodded at the girl. "Alexis, right? How are your injuries from DADA?" She asked. "Feeling better, I hope."

"Okay what ever you feel like calling me by is fine"

She smiled and continued her conversation with Charlotte and Alexis.

Alexis flushed a little with embarrasment, 'Yeah, I'm fine.'
'So Jamie, how's Hogwarts treating you?'

She smiled at that question.

"Really good my brother likes it here also"

She sighed.

"The classes are okay i wouldn't say i love them all but if it helps me pass i'm good"

"You have a brother here too? That's cool," Charlotte nodded, taking a piece of cake. She wished she had a brother and the closest thing she had was her adopted cousin James. She wished he was old enough to attend Hogwarts....

"Ah, what classes are you taking?" She asked.

Looks at Charlotte.

"Yeah he is a first year Slytherin and i'm taking potions and astronmy tower. I'm waiting on other classes"

She continued to eat her food

'But you are missing all your first classes then. Aren't you? What are you waiting for?' Alexis asked, surprised.
(OOC: Its astronomy Jamie, astronomy tower is the location of the classroom.)

Iris just got back from a walk with Vee by the lake and rushed for dinner at the great hall. She walked through the long tables and found Alexis with a couple of Slytherin girls. She ran a bit and sat on the available seat. She gave a huge grin and an excited look. "Hi! Iris Frances by the way. Second Year. Hey Lex. Darn I'm hungry." She continued to talk while picking her type of food - not wanting to be tempted and to stick to her diet. "So, how are your classes? Or let's put up a different topic because you talked about it already? Ugh. Why am I always left out?" She shrugged while picking up a vegetable salad and started munching the crunchy lettuce. She suggested a nickname to let the others call her. "Call me I like 'eye' or Jane. I still accept Iris if you like. But kind of weird 'cause there's also another me. Gryffindor. Second year too. What a coincidence." She kidded around and picked another salad - this time fruits. There was clearly no problem with her diet for she gets along with the food most of the time. Except for broccoli of course. She secretly hid for herself.

Alexis laughed at Iris' antics. 'Sure thing dear, and when you walking through a corridor, we can sing from behind,'Turn around bright eye!'' She sang, causing a few heads to turn hearing the muggle song.

Iris laughed harder and almost choked up by Alexis' joke. "Very funny. I do sing that song sometimes on karaoke. Got a score probably below ninety. Especially when I get nuts and sing the high notes and the second voice - catching my breath. Crazy." She also kidded around. She had a happy memory back in the muggle world and always proud of it. She never forget every single memory that can show up on her dream and haunt her more often. She got back to eating and imagined the thought and laughed again. "Okay. It's so humiliating to think of it. Why not do that actually?" She shook her head and face-palmed - feeling a bit embarrassed. "Now you can do revenge for me caring about you too much about DADA." She added and stuck out her tongue - acting juvenile.

Alexis laughed along with Iris.
'I don't mind you caring about me, Iris.' she took a sip from her orange juice, 'It means a lot to me. Caring friends are hard to come by, they say.'

watches some girl sit down and talk to Alexis.

"Jamie Malfoy nice to meet you"

I looked at Alexis.

"I'm waiting for DATDA, and i don't remember the other classes and sorry messed up the spelling for astronomy"

Gives a small smile.

Alexis smiled at Jamie, 'Don't worry about it, kiddo. You'll enjoy Defense.' She winked at Iris. She was getting over the incident.

Iris stopped laughing and just smiled. "I never show no concern to my friends, Alex. It's automatic especially when they're suffering from an incident wherein I'm not included." She winked back and sipped her goblet. She turned to Jamie who finally spoke and grinned again. "You will surely enjoy Defense. It really comes in handy. So, a Malfoy huh? How's the life? I bet you'll do great like what they've done." She questioned rather friendly and was amazed for Jamie to be in that fortunate clan. She pitied all the members who were recklessly killed for the war to break outrageously.

Charlotte couldn't have spoken because she was chewing on food and felt it would've been rude if she had spoken with her mouth full of food.

"I'm Charlotte," she said. "You're in my Astronomy class, right?"

She caught on to the sound of her voice.

"Thanks i hope i will enjoy it like i do my other classes"

Smiles.

nervously walks over to Jamie

"Hi im Flick Source, I hope I get sorted into Slytherin, what classes do you take"

smiles with eager eyes
